Crossing Paths Project by Niall McDiarmid

I think this project is really influential and will help me with my Assignment Three; people on the street

I love the simplicity of the photographs that each of the photographers had taken relating to my research for this assignment. I like the variety of people that Niall McDiarmid has used in his project, there are a range of stereotypes and ages, and people from different towns and cities.

Niall McDiarmid has been to many cities and towns across the UK to do this project, but because of my time span, I will only be able to visit a maximum of four towns and a city; Darwen, Blackburn, Manchester, Bolton and Whalley. However, Whalley and Manchester are two completely contrasting places, Whalley is a traditional farming town (kinda) and Manchester is a busy shopping and business city, so having the contrast of the two places is something that would look good in my final 5 photographs. I hope to get a lot of photographs in each place, and then try and contain a contrast within my final 5 photographs that I am submitting. I want to include a variety of stereotypes and ages, with no set theme like this project.
