Assignment Two

I found this assignment really difficult and don't especially like the photographs I have taken to represent the colour 'green', however, as a technical exercise, I have found this useful as I have had to look for certain colours or connotations rather than how a subject looks in shot.

Shape - Green

Shape
I love photographing architecture, and found the colours on this building reflected my assignment well. The blues compliment the green tones in the glass well. I had to slightly crop this photograph outside of camera because there were distracting reflections in the bottom half of the photograph!
Nature - Green

Nature
This is my least favourite photograph from this assignment, but as I said before, I wanted to think more about capturing the colour in the best possible way. I like the way the yellow compliments the photograph simply, as well as the contrast achieved by the dark bark.

Movement - Green

I took about 100 photographs for this set so that I could capture the most interesting movement of the food colouring in the water. I cropped this photograph and straightened it in PhotoShop, because there was empty space surrounding the photograph and I wanted the eye to be instantly drawn to the movement in the glass!
